About Us and Shenjela Cocker spaniels

Welcome to the website of Shenjela Cocker spaniels, now based in West Somerset's Quantock Hills, after having moved there from the Vale of the White Horse, South West Oxfordshire in 2013.

Although our first cocker spaniel was a gold girl who lived until the grand old age of 13½ we now only have parti-coloured cockers.

We have loved and lived with cocker spaniels since 1995. Towards the end of 2008 we purchased our first parti-coloured cocker and as we have become more interested and involved in showing our dogs we  applied for and were granted our own affix Shenjela.

We enjoy showing our dogs, but they are members of the family first. They like to go for long walks, swim, get muddy and curl up on the sofa but not necessarily in that order!

We are members of both the Cocker spaniel Club – the parent club of the breed and both the Devon & Cornwall Cocker Spaniel Club and West of England Cocker Spaniel Club.
Our affix Shenjela is registered with the Kennel Club of England of which we are affiliate members.

We are no longer members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme, but we still adhere to their principles, including health tests.

We hope that you have enjoyed visiting our website and will come back and visit again soon to see what’s new.
